As this is my first pregnancy, I had so many questions and concerns that’s why it has been such a help to have Agnes’ support. I wish it had been possible for us to meet in person but due to COVID restrictions and us living on different continents we were limited to video calls and texts. That being said, however, Agnes has been very flexible with working around my schedule and my needs so that I feel very cared for. There are several things that I appreciate about Agnes. The first and most important factor to me is that she has been helping me understand pregnancy with all of its surprises and changes without pushing anything on me. She listened to my concerns, shared her vast knowledge about babies, birth, and all that comes with it, and made me feel like there are truly no stupid questions. I loved working with her and hope that for the next baby she can be by my side.

“One would think that with my fourth baby on the way I would never need any kind of support with pregnancy and labour. I may seem experienced, but all the more I needed tremendous support. Having a doula was exactly that and was the best decision my husband and I made. The support particularly at the end of the pregnancy was very needed. Agnes was checking on me regularly, walked with me through contractions while my husband was looking after the children, endured a long night of false labour with me, and speedily arrived at our home to welcome our baby girl to our family when the moment finally came.  She stayed with my children and took care of them while the midwives sorted me after delivery. She came to my bedside afterwards with a lovely cup of tea and toast and listened intently as I shared all about the labour story. Knowing that I could call someone and they were ready in a moment's time to come and support us was the most paramount decision I could have made for our birth plan. The greatest way to describe my experience with Agnes is her being a gift from the Lord for my pregnancy, labour, and birth. Our family will forever be filled with gratitude.”

‘‘Agnes worked with us as a live-in nanny for a year and a half in 2020 and 2021. She was unfailingly kind and supportive throughout her time with us and we still see her regularly now that she has moved on. Agnes joined us when I was 36 weeks pregnant and at 39 weeks my baby girl was born. Although my plan was to go to a birthing centre, my labour was unexpectedly very fast and my husband delivered the baby at home in the shower..! The whole experience was remarkably quick but scary too and Agnes was such a brilliant person to be with us. Not only did we have the reassurance that she was looking after our 3 year old, but when we returned from the hospital checks we came back to find that she had even changed the bedding and cleaned the shower. Agnes is practical, kind and easily fitted into the family at such a special and significant time. In the weeks that followed she was reassuring and an excellent care for our baby girl. She is a complete natural with newborn babies and I can't imagine what we would have done without her. I would happily hire her as a doula in future and would warmly recommend her support to any of my friends.’’
